Making Tracks

“MAKING TRACKS is a literal presentation of the exhibition theme of transportation, interpreted in terms of how one “makes tracks for home” in today’s world. The quilt imagines local community in an era of climate change, which changes how we inhabit and travel through space. By tying home to rail, it envisions domestic life as connected to public transportation, and is part of a commitment to lowering one’s carbon footprint.
