Happily Ever After
Africa? I thought this was “Connecticut Stories”. This is my personal Connecticut story. While considering a return trip to Africa, I asked the travel agent to find me a tent mate so I would not have to pay single occupancy. She said “How about my cousin David?”
I lived in Massachusetts; he lived in Connecticut. We decided we needed to meet before the trip so we met for lunch half way between in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. After a 6 hour lunch we agreed that we could indeed share a tent. We started dating and by the time we went to Tanzania, we had a symbolic wedding ceremony in Africa, complete with a gorgeous sunset and Massai dancers. I sold my condo, quit my job and moved to Connecticut where we are living “Happily Ever After”. This quilt is based on a photograph I took on that trip to Tanzania in the Serengeti, during the wildebeest migration.
